The Hollicks are starting the new year off with a bang.
Yes, yes, yes — you can believe your eyes. We are having a baby! Max is going to be a big brother and we will be chugging along as Four For the Road (plus a cat). It’s mind-boggling, and…so very exciting. Our family is growing, as is my belly!
Max can’t believe his mama is already showing a baby bump at 9 weeks!
As we try to figure out how and where we will have Hollick Baby #2 while traveling, I am trying to enjoy being pregnant while chasing around a toddler and packing up for our next destination, Austin. San Francisco, while very memorable, flew by despite the unusually long sit-down, and we soon face a stretch of Midwest cities that will each last for 4 weeks at a time (Detroit, Omaha, and Appleton, Wisconsin). Luckily, there are a few other families on tour that I can turn to for advice, as babies are born on the Gazelle tour at what seem like an alarming frequency.
Meanwhile, Max got a special book for Christmas and has been taking his job as impending big brother very seriously. The new role should start sometime this summer, and we’re aiming for July (if not sooner)!

I’m a performer myself and I stumbled upon your blog while I was doing a gig in TN this year and I am a huge huge fan.
This may sound totally weird, but I live in San Antonio and travel up to Austin frequently and would love the opportunity to pick Mike’s brain about the business. I’m kinda at a turning point in my career and trying to decide how to move forward with the next chapter.
